TEAM NEWS AND EVENTS

If you are a law enforcement officer, corrections officer, or firefighter interested in joining the Atlanta Defenders football team, please contact us at: information@atlantadefenders.com
You must be a full-time public safety official to participate and there are positions available.

If you are interested in helping in any other way, please let us know.  We can always use the help of experienced coaches, trainers, statistic recorders, webmasters, and equipment managers, even if you are not a sworn public safety official.

We rely on many dedicated volunteers to help with the organization of the team.  You may also phone (404)510-0555 for more information.

Halfway to St. Patrick's Day Party 2008

Players and Fans -

The Atlanta Defenders would like to thank Butch and Mary Grace
Elmgren for inviting us to join them for the Halfway to St. Patrick's
Day Party at Fado's Irish Pub in Buckhead.

The event was formed to raise money for the Eddie Ivie Memorial
Scholarship Fund, which provides students of the Georgia Southern
University's Center for Irish Studies an opportunity to study abroad
in Ireland.

The music was great and the fellowship was even better.  Butch has
invited the Defenders to join them again next year for this event.

To show his appreciation of those public safety officials who paid
the ulimate sacrifice on September 11, 2008, Butch has offered to
make a donation to our cause.

Thank you again to Butch, Mary Grace, and the Emerald Eddie
Society.

To learn more about Eddie Ivie and the Emerald Eddie society,
